Why do I need a logo that is aligned with my business?

Why do I need a logo?
As a small business owner, you may be thinking, "Why do I need a logo? Can't I just come up with something quick and easy on my own?" But the truth is, a logo is so much more than just a fancy graphic. It's the face of your brand and the first thing that customers will see when they come across your business. A good logo designer can help you create that logo that not only looks great but also aligns to the core fundamentals of your business goals and ignites a fire within you as an entrepreneur.

Your logo is like a magnetic force, drawing customers in and leaving a long-lasting impression. It needs to be aligned with the core values of your business because it serves as a visual representation of your brand and its fundamentals. A logo should reflect the essence of your business and communicate the unique selling points that differentiate your business from others in the market. If your goal is to appeal to a specific target audience, your logo should be designed to appeal to that audience. If your goal is to establish a sense of trust and professionalism, your logo should reflect that through the use of a clean and minimalist design. A good logo designer will take the time to understand your business, your target audience, your goals and your unique selling points before creating a logo that perfectly represents your brand.

A branding process step-by-step

For me, as brand designer of The bright Side Story, it is very important to know everything about your business before we start with the branding project. That's why I put a lot of time and effort into the preparation phase of each branding package. This includes creating a branding moodboard and completing an in-depth questionnaire about all of the core values of your business. I believe that these steps are the foundation for a successful project and essential in creating a brand that stands out in the market.

Moodboard

First, we begin by creating a branding moodboard. This is a visual representation of the overall aesthetic and style that we want to achieve for your brand. It includes a collection of images, colors, fonts, other logos and other design elements that we believe will best represent your business. The moodboard is a tool that allows us (you and me) to get a better understanding of your preferences and the style that you envision for your brand. It also allow me to create a visual reference for the project, making sure that we are on the same page throughout the design process.

In-depth questionnaire

Once the moodboard is complete, we move on to the next step of the preparation process, completing an in-depth questionnaire about all the core values of your business. This questionnaire is designed to help me as a designer understand your business on a deeper level and gain insight into the unique selling points and the message you want to convey through your brand. It includes questions about your target audience, your business goals, and what sets you apart from your competitors. It will also ask about your way of working, vision and mission, as well as the values that they hold. This is a vital step in creating a brand that aligns with your business and speaks to your customers in a way that resonates with them.

Introduction call

I believe that open communication is key to creating a successful brand. That's why we have an introduction call after the branding moodboard and in-depth questionnaire preparations. This call is an opportunity for us to discuss the project in more detail, review the moodboard and questionnaire, and make sure that we are on the same page before moving forward with the design process. The introduction call is a chance to get to know each other better and for you to ask any questions or express any concerns you might have. During this call, we'll review the branding moodboard and questionnaire together to ensure that I understand your business and brand vision. We'll also discuss the design process, timelines and deliverables.

The Bright Side Story understand that creating a new brand or rebranding can be a big undertaking, and I want to make sure that you feel heard and respected throughout the process. My goal as a brand designer is to create a brand that you are proud of, that truly represents your business, and speaks to your target audience. The introduction call is the first step in this process and we believe it’s essential in providing a solid foundation for the success of the project.
